Margery Detring

I believe the most important things about my life are based on my connection to Nature from a toddler to the present. I had a loving childhood on a small farm, no siblings, lots of animals. in college I began instruction in meditation and yoga. After graduation my national Park Service husband and I raised our children in National Parks. Living in the backcountry of Glacier National Park on the Canadian border was my favorite.

I taught Science on two Native American Reservations while our children were growing up and I began a second Master’s program in Earth Sciences. I love living In Parks and doing field work in geology. Later with my own business offering authentic Native American art and music, I was active in the Pow Wow circuit in the US, loving the 3 day encampments, hearing and feeling the drum vibrating through the Earth. I weave baskets from raw natural materials, and recently have begun baking organic sprouted breads and sweets for our Farmers Market.

I first studied with Drunvalo Melchizedek in 1999 and from then on participated in every class offered. I first met Daniel in Drunvalo's classes and became very serious about increasing knowledge of my true self. I am grateful for the transformations accompanying workshops and private work with Dr. Catherine Shainberg, Daniel Mitel, Claudette Melchizedek, Rosi Barrera, and Dr. Bonnie Buckner. I am certified to teach Awakening the Illuminated Heart, both Journeys Into the Heart, all three Heart Imagery workshops and Kriyia Yoga.

If you pass by my hillside home you will often find me sitting barefoot on my stone bench, my back against an oak tree, meditating, connected to the Earth and Universe within my heart. Life doesn’t get better than that...unless the grandkids are here!
